Not going to finish this one since the ears suck majorly no matter what I do with them, but here's a little doodle of Eve

Obviously you said you don't like it, but I love the clarity of it- you captured so much expression!! I love it. :)

if you backlit those ears you could pull a bit of rose in the depths and then add highlights to the outside of the fur to make it work. Would be easier then figuring out dark on dark.

I love your work, Grace! How did you make your brushes? I was experimenting and attempting to make some, but wasn't very successful. I was using Painter Essentials, which came with my tablet, but I've been drawn back to Photoshop now. I've been trying to create the 'rough' appearance of fur, without having to draw it all in.

Okay, so, here's what I started. Just like everything else I've started, there is little chance it will ever get finished. :D

My scanner really sucks for drawings, but I guess it didn't come out too awful.

Caitlin, what I do is draw a section of "fur" and save it as a brush. It works well for "blocking" large areas and then I can just go in and add detail. Mine really sucked too and they wouldn't be very successful on their own. You can also take some hair from an image and save it as a brush, though I found that kinda hard to work with.

I wish I had a tablet! Love your Dobe, btw. Pencil?

Gah! Laur, I absolutely *love* your style. Especially these Paps, you capture them so well.
