Would you consider this preemptively to bloat?

I was at a new vet today with Sloan and the vet mentioned that a lot of military malinois have been opt'd to tack the stomach for torsion prevention with their high level of activity. He said it's relatively painless, they have trouble keeping the dog down after it, because now it's done with a scope and not an incision.

Is this something you would consider doing?
While I think bloat can happen to any breed as a freak thing, the Belgian breeds are not high risk for it. It is interesting that the vets who work on the military Mals feel they are high risk. I would also wonder if they are Mals or "Mals" (with some I dunno...GSD in the pedigree). Belgians all tend to have more shallow chests, a more natural build. GSDs historically were built about the same but at a point, it seems it was decided they should have deeper chests and now even most of the working bred ones tend towards being deeper chested.
