What as sicko! If he wants to make a statement about how miserable human/dog life is, he should tie himself to a gallery wall and starve himself to death.

It was a hoax.

However - I think the dog was just released back onto the streets.

Yes unfortunately that is what happened. so the dog is still out there suffering.

he said it was an exercise to prove that humans are sheep. he said that not one person tried to stop this display. I suppose he proved his point but still horrible.

I can only be thankful that the dog didnt' die chained up in a museum and starved to death :( Perhaps all the publicity has gotten the dog some help

Thanks, sparks. I couldn't believe it was actually real, but I was in class, and in the little time I had to browse I couldn't find anything saying otherwise. Still a sad situation. :(

a woman that just tried to prove that her self insemination and self abortions was going to be put into some video, blah blah blah....and was all the buzz. SElf porclaimed art that she says goes past being something material to hang on the wall. Now it has been proven to be a hoax as well. Hopefully this is the same.

IF Costa Rica's feral dog problem is anything like India's, he could have made his point about suffering just as well with photos of dead, dying, starving, mutilated dogs and an injunction to look around next time you go outside . . .

For example, I caught these pups on camera playing with malas after a festival . . . they are pariah dogs . . . they have no owner and are feral. They grew up, IF they grew up, to be dispised scavangers, diseased, abused, and ignored.

I don't think I need to tie a dog to a wall to make my point . . .

Actually, I have photos that will make my point better, but I don't think you want me to share them . . .

that is as bad as the one i read about when i was very young. A dog had been found with his lips sutured shut and had dehydrated until it died. I had nightmares about that for years. THis is the side of humanity that makes me want to crawl away and be anything ANYTHing else..even a bug.

My only question here is ....

if NO ONE actually tried to help the dog how does anyone know what actually happened to it?

I would assume that only someone who tried to free the dog would have also tried to follow up but apparently no one came through the gallery that actually wanted to help the animal rather than stare at it.

So while either way it is a sad situation I am a little skeptical as to what actually happened.
