Wow.
Ok, I haven't been here much. Thank goodness for that. I come here to read some threads and I find this.
I can honestly say that I am thoroughly disgusted in the majority of the people that posted in this thread.
Did she ask for your advice on her financial or marital life? NO!!!!
She asked for, I believe pick up lines for her fiance.
I am so sick right now it isn't even funny. Literally sick to my stomach from what I have read here. NONE of you have any business telling Sam what she should or shouldn't do! NONE OF YOU!!!!! You should be ashamed of yourselves.
Sam has just been through an extremely traumatic experience, she comes here to try and lighten the mood and here you all are, bashing her. You should all feel so **** proud of yourselves.
People in a different thread about Sam said things like "well something was wrong with your baby" and sh!t like that. Someone also said something to the effect of yes, you miscarried but so and so had a stillborn or some crap. I don't care if her baby was a 2 day old embryo or a baby that had made it to 9 months and died. It was still her baby. A baby that she loved very much. There is no difference between the two.
If her and her fiance feel that they can have a child then it is none of anyones business. I am just rambling here because I am so horrified at what I have heard.
I will say this. U.S. health care is the biggest JOKE I have ever seen. Geez, you people better not ever come live in Canada. Everyone's taxes pay for everyone elses healthcare. We don't need health insurance and crap like that because our people help each other out. Here some of you are thinking that you are better than another because you have health care and others don't!
If Medicaid isn't for people like Sam and her fiance then I ask this. Who the hell is it for????? Sam and her fiance work, they pay their bills. I can tell you if I lived in the U.S. I would much rather my taxes go to help her have a child rather than the people that medicaid is being used for. People who don't want to work and would rather sponge off the gov't. Sam and her fiance pay taxes too remember.
It is no one's business to tell her to get rid of her cell phone or internet either.
Some of you have sunk to a completely new low.
By the way, prenatal care is NOT essential. You can do most of your prenatal care at home for yourself. Weigh yourself, measure your fundal height, check your own blood pressure, test your own urine. And then if there is something wonky you can make a doctors appt.
Oh and you only have to wait 1 full normal cycle after a miscarriage before you can start trying again.
Sam, I wish you nothing but the best. I do hope you continue to try and I hope it happens very quickly and easy for you. You deserve your spirit baby!
I have to agree. In every other nation in the western world, this would not be an issue. Why? Because everyone has health care, not just those that are wealthy enough to afford a great medical plan. Not only is health care in the US beyond through the roof expensive, but so is the health care in general. When my father passed out and the and had to go to the hospital, they charged 500 dollars for an ambulance ride 8 MILES to the hospital. Everything about health care is beyond blown out of proportion.
Of course since my hubby and I don't make big bucks, we are obvioulsy horrible parents. No my kids don't get everything under the sun. Well guess what, they live through it and learn in the proccess that you don't get every material item that you want. Wow, imagine that. And for people to say that it is so hard on kids to not have what everyone else has so you should make sure you make plenty of money. Bull crap!
But then again, my kids are on medicare because guess what? Even when I worked full time as a manager, I still couldn't afford the 250 dollar a month health insurance plan with the thousand dollar decuctible, no prescription card and co pays. That didn't even include dental which somehow apperantly is not part of your health.
I am pregnant now and I am on Medicaid. OMG! the world is coming to an end!Guess what, before I had my kids, my taxes paid for my crack addict 14 year old sister in law to have baby. It paid for the meth head down the streets baby. My hubby worked, I worked, our taxes went to that, they also went to help pay for the medicaid that pays for my kids medical care.
By the standards voiced on this board, we are not rich by and stretch of the imagination. Nope, you are right, we dont have much money. But we have a lot of love that surrounds our kids, we are always there for them no matter what. That is more than I can say about a lot of parents.
But then, maybe you all would have felt better if when I found out I was pregnant with my first I would have had an abortion instead, because then I wouldn't have wasted your precious tax dollars which are going to come out of your high and mighty check anyway. Instead they could have been wasted on your goveners trip to the Bahamas, or the child molester who gets every medical need met in jail and cable tv while he is there on your tax dollars.
I know a lot of very hard working, loving families who can not afford health care. Our health care system here in America should be one of our biggest embarrassments.
