I think I'm going to start crying again. It's not about Rizzo, don't worry she's still here and ok.

Anyone remember Milo? The stray I found and was forced to turn into the HS?

He was returned to the shelter (after being adopted) for escaping. Which I can see happening wiht him, but then he got adopted again. He was returned again. I just saw him in the kennel. You know what they said the reason was ???

"Reason: "Bite"" :( I saw him there and though Oh no, but then I saw bite and I couldn't help it, I broke down. I started crying right there, telling him how sorry I was. He will be PTS (killed) at this rate. They won't adopt dogs with bite histories.

There it goes, crying again. I wrote to our behavioralist, who what happens to Milo is up to her discretion, and two other volunteers also wrote her. We are hoping against hope we can get her to let him go to foster for a while to observe him, or better yet, a rescue to work with him. I don't know if this will work, but it's my fualt he's there, I've got to try!

He is NOT aggressive! AT ALL! I had him for a while, I did everything to this dog, including rawhides, and he was NOT aggressive. He passed the BA and he's was great.

What I think happened is he tends to get a bit overexcited during play and does the fly by mouthing action. But it is NOT aggressive, and he is fairly easy to calm down. You say "MILO NO SIT!" and he sits and calms down. It is NOT aggression, it's excitement!!

I'm so upset right now. I'm trying no to cry again, as it's my brothers B-day party, but this is my fault. I brought him there, he would've been better off as a stray! I don't know how I'll stand it if he is PTS!! :(

Please send your prays/best wishes to Milo! He really needs them!!!

I have Rizzo now! This is HORRIBLE timing! I just CAN"T take Rizzo AND milo! I can't! I don't have the time or room or money! I can't.

BUT if that is what it takes for them to let him go I will. I can't, but I'll have to. But it's up to our behaviorist if he can even be put in rescue or foster! I'm sure it helps if he has someone already lined up, but even then it's iffy. I don't know if she'll let him go or not!!

I'm so scared he'll be killed. He is NOT aggressive! I don't know how many times I have to say it, but he's NOT! Not even slightly standoffish! or scared! He's great. He can't be killed! IDIOTS I HATE People sometimes. Idiots who don't know how a dog acts. IDIOTS who turned him in for that! IDIOTS.

Dammit. :( :(

BB if I was closer I'd take him in a heart beat. But you should put faith in your shelter's behaviorist - if she knows anything at all about dog behavior, she'll be able to tell the difference between a play bite/bad bite inhibition and an aggressive bite.

I hope so, I just can't believe this. It's horrible. I NEVER expected this, not from Milo! He's such a sweet dog!!! I just love him!!

WHo knows why the dog bit. IF someone were to lean down on Victor's tender skinny legs i promise he would snap. Hopefully your behaviorlist will take that into consideration. Bblues i am sorry i know how you feel, that is why pepper is here to this day. Logan, you remember him right? I passed him and his mother across from the park by my mom's just an hour ago. THey had a huge shaggy dog that had been tied up in the parking lot and apparently abandoned there. THey stayed until animal control came, and animal control of kansas city is huge, hopefully a rescue will take him. WHy oh why do people do this? I believe pepper was dumped at the same park. They think i think that children will see the dog and the parents will take them in. IT just isn't the way it goes down.

Awww man...I really hope your behaviorist can sort things out!! Is there anyway to call the previous owners and get some sort of idea what happened?? Not that I don't trust people to lie, but it might give an outline anyway.

I really doubt they'd give me the number to call them, I'm sure it would be against their privacy statment and all. :(

I'll ask her though. I'm going to go tomorrow and see if she is in so I can talk to her about it. I really want to know what happened. If it was during play, I'm pretty sure they where over-reacting. I can def. see that happening. But I don't see him biting without a good reason. I did a lot to him and he took it in stride, just wanted to lick my face. :( Poor Milo man.

I hope she can do something for him. I really hope she understands!!

Well, I've got at least 3 other volunteers sending a message to my behaviorist on behalf of Milo. *fingers crossed*

They said it makes no difference what happend, once they said the dog bite that's it. They don't care about anything else.
