.5 acres is BIG though, if there's not a house or pool or something on it....i think. I mean, yes i live on .25 acres with a decent sized house in the middle, an in the ground pool, deck, and patio...but i really think .5 acres will be PLENTY enough. We'll be loosing each other on 4 acres.

.5 IS a little small. But with the choice between .5 and 4 . . . one of my biggest objections to holding this at the Shirlington dog park was that the size of the place made keeping and eye on and controlling your dog very difficult. Frankly, I couldn't turn to answer a question from someone or pet someone elses dog without Sarama going behind a tree, around a bend, or dashing off with another dog. Which was fine, that's why we were there, except I really, really wanted to keep an eye on her while she did it.

Since half the point of this is to meet each other, I'd prefer a more easily controlled enviroment, where we can look out of the corners of our eyes, rather than have to follow our dogs around. Although you can keep an eye on four flat open acres, I don't think that's the description of this place.

Did you ask about any pet-friendly hotels near that place ?? cause I know that Chloe and I would definitely be staying overnight...

sooo, uummm, i know i'm new and really don't know anybodys name, i was wonderin' if my partner & i can come??

she's not so much into dogs at all but loves to get away....i don't drive so we could come if she doesn't have work(she's a nurse). we would be intersted in renting a rm. as well. i would love to bring my dogs...enya could come w/ me & g could stay in the rm. w/ alicia. grissum is dog aggressive(friendly w/ some submissive females), or we could bring mosamo, my other dog who now lives w/ alicia's dad...he would love it!!!!!!!!!!!!

ps--if we can come we'll be happy to bring whatever

awesome, anyone that wants to join is more than welcome to join. We'd be happy to have you. I'm still waiting on a response about hotels. We need to figure out how we're going to pay for it and whether we have to pay in advance or can pay when we get there. I'll shoot her another email today.
