sheesh... you know... we have to try and work with her too. you know piddles and poopers in the right place... make her not afraid of us reaching down at her, etc. takes some off-camera time to do all that
oh, yea, and I have to actually produce a passable impression of "doing my job" during the day too. Ya know. I work from home, but the key word there *is* "work."
She's still not totally comfortable with us. She is a Fila after all. We're just very familiar strangers at this point. And we have two JEALOUS boys hovering around making it even more interesting.
She is getting more comfortable with us, though, at an accelerated rate now. The trick was to give her some space and some independence. She wanted the feeling of being watched, and cared for, but not hovered around. She needs her space to feel comfortable. She'll be a very "on her terms" kinda dog (not only true for the breed but for female canines in general as well)
She's been working up to eating full sized meals... probably some time today she'll eat all of her meal. She's had solid stools, and does have a tendency to prefer to piddles outside (thank god) however she's still afraid of the doggy door (plus its a little high for her) so its either a) freeze with the door open, or watch like a hawk for "sniffing for a place to pee" rather than "sniffing to sniff" -- a balancing act that I'm still not good at but am getting better with.
Tell you what. I'll post some VIDEO today. how about that?!
