Because I have a serious problem with the idea that a Piggly wiggly will be opening next to a Dairy Queen, and I would like to discuss it with others who also understand that this makes it much more difficult to resist the temptation to get ice cream.
ROFL :D
^He looks like he's trying to imitate the stuffed animal :p

Tethering for a short time and Chaining out 24/7 is like apples to oranges . Shall we move on ???

For me, Anti Tethering or Chaining ordinances are NOT A GOOD THING.

The next thing to follow is no enclosed runs, no crates, etc.

It can be a fatal mistake to underestimate your adversary. The AR extremists will use the step towards outlawing chaining or tethering to attack crating and reasonble fencing inside runs or kennels next.

:(

I hate to see dogs chained as much as anyone else. My contract forbids it. But if we let these laws start, the eventual fallout will be MUCH WORSE.

JMO as always....

No, I kind of like making a mockery of Summit. Not that she doesn't do it well enough all on her own - she is nothing if not consistent - but because it's at least fun. *passes Grammy the DQ*

also the more we rebut her statements the better. There are lots of people who just come and read chaz, never join, or just lurk. Do we want these PETA AR type things, which we all know are really geared towards zero pets, to go unchallenged?

I am deeply embarrassed to admit that I skimmed the first post and had thought the Piggly Wiggly thing was a joke. It's just fitting that it isn't though, LOL!

Oh, and thanks to you all I made popcorn earlier. STOPPPPP with the smileys! :D

Hey, if these dinky tethering ordinances were only about chaining 24/7, I don't think anyone would say anything about it. Why the heck can't they just have ordinances against animal abuse in all its various forms and leave it at that? I mean duh.

Priest says he would like to hear more about this Piggly Wiggly thing. He likes pigs. Especially cut into strips and fried in the skillet.

"The council voted to accept the low bid of $20,140 by Hattaway Ford for a new truck for the water and sewer department."

I think this is the scandal here. I bet they could get a better deal on the truck, and this is taxpayer's money, right? Did they really open up the bids, or was this a sweetheart deal?
