Look at the neck on this dog!

I just feel a bit dumb that it took me so long to figure it out. My thought process went something like this...
"Wow, that dog's neck is freakishly long!"
"This site looks really familiar. I wonder why?"
"Haha! It really DOES look like it's part giraffe!"
"Oh look! A banner for Mutt Strut. That's funny..."
"ROFL! Giraffe-dog!!"
"Wait a second here... I KNOW this website!"
(That is the shelter where searched for several months, and where I ultimately adopted Morgan. So I've spent A LOT of time on that website.)
Aw, you don't have to be guilty. It's looking at dogs, for crying out loud! It's what we do.

Your thought process sounds a lot like mine would have been in that situation. Of course I swear I'm ADD so...
I had one of those moments a few days ago when a friend picked me up to go to a track meet.
She called me when she was outside my house so I grabbed my coat and started to head out the door. Then I checked my pockets, like I always do, and they were...empty! My cell phone was missing! So I was like, "Hold on I have to grab my cell" *long pause on other end* as I head in the house and look around. I probably searched for a good 15 seconds before it dawned on me...
I was TALKING to my friend on my cell phone!! *facepalm*
I don't think she's ever going to let me live that down.

I know what you mean. I do that sort of thing all the time! One example that happens to me a lot is that I'll get into my car to drive somewhere, and I can't find my keys! Well, the "missing" keys usually are found in my ignition... since I've already started the car with them.
Once, I even "lost" the cat because I was carrying him around. Then when I called him, he didn't come!!
Oh man, I am hiding in my mom's office right now, because I am STILL giggling like an idiot at myself about the giraffe-dog/website thing. LOL!

And another day I had forgotten that I got a ride to school instead of driving myself and after school I stood in my assigned parking space holding my keys, utterly confused until my friend came and reminded me that she was taking me home. Yes, I can be quite dim.
