it doesn't matter what other people do. it's what you need to do. get him to a vet. NOW!
why do you say you can't go?

Immodium will stop the diahhrea, which is good in some cases, but not this one. This time your dog is trying to pass the toxins from the raisins, and stopping him up will only increase the damage/hasten death.

I really hope your pup is ok enough to last until morning, but I would not wait one minute past the opening office times of your vet to go tomorrow if you can't/won't go see an emergency vet tonight.

Immodium will not allow what is in his system to pass out. If he ate Raisins, whihc is poisonous to dogs, he needs to get the POISON out of his system. Immodium will cause the poison to stay in his system, making his condition worse. His bleeding may have stopped... but that doesn't mean he's out of danger.

He really needs to go see a vet. I don't know why you keep saying cant, i can only assume you can't because you have no money, or because you are too young.. but the dog needs a vet.

period.

Not immodium.

a VET.

There have been alot of these threads recently from people supposedly in an emergency situation who dont go to the vet even when told to go by everyone. Please tell me these are all jokes? And is there no way to stop them?

I dont know, but anytime I have had an "emergency" which none sound as bad as these past few threads, I have been to the closest emergency vet right away, I never thought to get online and ask for advice. I was either in the car right away or on the phone to ask my vet for advice.
Oh well..

Is it just me or, is this poster very naive? S/he asked for help and opinions and she wastes three pages on asking about Imodium instead of taking the freaking dog in to the 24 hr vet. Lady/Guy get your **** dog into the doctor. Bleeding out of your rear, last I checked, isn't the best thing. Don't bother asking for help and advice if you are not going to take it and get stuck debateing over some half-ass information you heard somewhere. TAKE YOUR DOG TO THE DOCTOR! It's blood will be on your hands. Stop wasting time.

ever heard of public transportation? a bus or a cab?? maybe a friend that could bring you? i know if my dogs were sick and i didn't have access to a vehicle they would be more than willing to take me, even if i woke them up. let us know what happens

I'm sure she has heard of public transportation but if you live in the country there generally aren't buses and cabs can cost hundreds of dollars to take to town. I do think that dog should have gone to the vet and I truly hope it's fine but I do think transportation can be a huge problem

what about friends?

i would just like to know that the owner thought of everything before saying "oh i can't go tonight". i'd still like to hear what the vet said.

Is it just me or does anyone else get frustrated getting so involved in someone else's drama like this and then the OP either never posts again or doesn't bother to let anyone know what the problem was in the first place??
ACK!

i always feel bad for coming to these threads late... but i always wonder, are these people being serious or are they just trying to spam up our forum with fake problems to see us all freak? on the other hand not giving advice could mean a dead dog :(
