Hello guys im new to this forum. This is an emergency please answer the question.
I got cocker spaniel dog he is about 8 years old.
This is what i noticed after he ate some junk food off our table.
and he was really sick like couldnt walk so we gave him a TAUM human medicine and he was fine yesterday and today. But tonight when we came home he had diaria every where around the house and some yellow stuff.. After couple minutes later he was dripping blood from his butt everywhere. I called the vet and they said he might be dehydrate or the medication he is taking that they assigned to us for his allergies. What can i do. He is seeing vet tomorow evening and for now what can i do to prevent it. Please answer this. Im afraid..

Thank you all

emergency vet, definitely. yours should have a number listed when you call after hours for cases like this. if not, look in phone book and find 24/7 or emergency vet clinic

Give him some non flavored pedialite and some pepto. If he wont take it on his own use a syring or a turkey baster and make sure he gets lots of fluids through the night. Set your alarm for every 2 hours.

I would be calling everyone I know to get to the vet. I know its spendy but this could be parvo or anything. Elderly dogs can get parvo which is life threatening.
The blood in his stool is definatly a bad sign. Does it smell like rotten fish?
Sorry about your cocker. I have one too!

Blood dripping and rotten fish smell...he needs to see a vet NOW. I don't if it's really parvo, he's not that old to have a compromised immune system, but there are a number of other ailments with similar symptoms that need speedy medical attention.

i really don't want this to come out the wrong way buy.........take your dog to the vet NOW! what in the world could possibly keep you from getting your dog the attention he needs??? if it's money, i'm sure the vet will work something out. get offline and go to the vet, please. give your dog the treatment he needs and not home remedies that may make it worse. i don't want you to come on later and tell us he died because he didn't go to the vet.

Dont give him imodium..You want whatever it is in his system to pass.

Why not feed imodium becuase i read other posts that they fed imodium and their dog was fine..

and he ate this junk food like cookies, and this thing that contained all sorts kind of penuts and it included raisins too.

And he is on medication for allergies its these tablets that vet assigned to us about 2 weeks ago

GO TO THE VET!!!! your dog could very well die because you have waited so long. find a way to get there and worry about paying later.

What would it do if i feed him imodium. I read different posts about owners feeding their dogs imodium and it worked till they go see the vets.
