I wish you knew who reported you, so you could "have a word" with them... and let them meet your boys... and observe how you feed them, and how active they are.
Border Collies are supposed to be lean. Gonzo's weight fluctuated a lot earlier in his life, he was very thin when I adopted him, and wasn't at a truly healthy weight until he was about 2 years old. And he was overfed, if anything. Then, he would gain weight and lose weight, seemingly at random intervals. I REALLY want to keep him lean, because it's how his breed should be, and it is healthiest, especially since he's getting older. Raw has completely fixed the fluctuating, and he is at the best weight of his life, but I constantly get comments about him... he especially looks skinny next to Fozzie. What's important is muscle tone and energy, above all. I wish all of the people who say Gonzo looks anorexic would feel his hind legs! An underweight dog could not have thighs of steel. ; )
