How big a dog do you let sleep with you?

I have seen quite a few posts where people say that their dogs share their bed at night. I am wondering if these all mostly small dogs? Smokey is about 40 pounds, and I can't envision her rolling around on top of my bed at night while I do my usual tossing and turning during the evening.

Missy, my German Sheperd is welcome to sleep with me, and she often does. Actually when I wake up I often find that both her and Maddie are in the bed...
Missy's maybe around70lbs, and Maddie's about 25 ;)

For me 20lbs would be the max. The bed already seems like a sandbox already when they put just their front paws on it... plus it's too small for two people already :p

I have no idea how much Bo weight, but she is small lab size.

I am a wriggler in bed, and she has found out where to sleep so she doesn't get knocked (right next to me!)..

I don't like dogs of any size to sleep in my bed. I an an extremely active sleeper, and I hate rolling over furry lumps in the night.

My great dane sleeps with me, and she weighs about 130-ish pounds. It's not the most comfortable thing in the world, but if I toss or turn to much, she'll get down and go sleep in her bed. Oh, and my 23 pound cat usually sleeps with me also. On my chest.

Lilly sleeps with me, she is 8 lbs. Aeron will get up in the mornings, that is by her own choice, she is very restless at night and moves about the house. Lills gets relegated to the floor when my BF sleeps over, he is 6.3" and all elbows and knees. I worry that she will get hurt.
She gets up for her morning snuggle though.

When I was younger I shared a twin sized bed with my Rottie, Shadow! She looooves to stretch out so there really wasn't any room left for me. Now she sleeps with my sister in her twin sized bed :D

Sophie will sometimes sleep on a pillow above my head. They boys are not allowed on the bed. They both want to be under the covers. They are little hot boxes and I can't sleep if I'm hot.

well, Cody is 20 pounds just about and he sleeps in my feet on my twin sized bed... I toss and turn a LOT though, and he always pulls the covers off me, so I usually end up nudginh him off the bed little by little til' he gets the clue, lol!

Since I moved here , Bubba and Chip both shared my bed ....now Ollie. He's about 85 #s...quiet sleeper , so am I. It's a twin bed , so I try to get settled before he gets in . Last night he made it 1st and it was a battle to move his butt over !

both of my dogs sleep with me (plus usually anywhere between 1-3 cats) unless it's really hot. they're 45 and 55 pounds. as long as i get in bed first and get myself settled before inviting them up, it's all good. they usually stay pretty much in one place.

Roxy used to sleep with us... Than we got Hades. And they both slept with us... So that's two people, one 80lb dog, and one then 40lb dog all in the same queen sized bed.

Roxy has horrible sleeping habits and this is where the dominance issues arose. She likes to stretch out, so it's the equivalent of having a small person in bed. Her legs are all over the place, and her feet smell like doritos (LMAO HEATHER). She was either kicking you in the face to push off your face, to push the other person off the bed. Or *I* was getting pushed off the bed and Brent was getting kicked in the face with stinky dorito feet! LOL

Hades, has a cold nose. And he would try and bury himself under the blankets between Brent and I. Of course his cold nose would shock me, wake me up, and make it hard to get back to sleep with stinky dorito feet in my face.

So needless to say, there is only Brent and I in the human bed now. And Roxy and Hades each have their own beds! :) Everyone is happy! And no more stinky dorito feet or cold noses!
