Hi Im Mandie. I am currantly owned by 3 dogs and one foster beagle I Have two cats .. three fish, 6 goats. two sheep (with some to come in spring!) one Calf! a flock of chickens,8 ducks. and 2 geese and last but not least a mouse! I am also the "foster" Mom to a female grey squirrel. She will be released in the spring!( I am becoming a wildlife rehabilitator) Enough on that though.

Due to where I live my "yard" has become the local ..dump you pet place. I guess the ppl her figure I love animals sooo much I could do with a few more. (just moved in last year

Anyways. we only have one shelter in my area and its far away and always swamped and I would feel bad handing over an animal that would only take a lil time and energy and love to rehome myself. SO that is what I do. I have become a small Shelter I suppose. but nobody who donates there pets ever leave a card so I dunno where all this lovely charity comes from

I get puppies...kittens... adults and even pregnant adults! Its been a very busy year. at this momment I only have a Orange Tom cat... (soon to be tomless!) and a female beagle. though the beagle is a complicated story. when I found her she was at the end of a heat. totally emaciated and abused. I believe she was dumped by one of the many puppy mills around me b/c well she was well bred. My vet aged her to be about 6-7 years. and he thinks she is most likely pregant. I will know for sure by the end of this month. then based on that fact is when I will have her spayed. If she isnt it will be pronto. if she is. this will be her last litter.

Meanwhile I am teaching her house skills. she has so far learned not to potty in the house. she no longer throws herself on the ground when you approach. she now almost listens when you call her. And he biggest improvement is that she learned ot sit on command! she heels without a leash and for a beagle she is very quiet and calm. not much of a barker exept when a dog on T.V barks.

This is Nutmeg. AKA Meggie

before

now.

I have lots of pics of all my critters.

This is Zoey. she is a calf that I adopted. Me and some friends on my rehab board raised the money ($1000) to rescue her mom from the slaughter house. sadly a few weeks later she died of cancer leaving me her baby daughter.

this is Destiny. I recieved her b/c her family found she had Polioencephalomalcia which left her in a coma. with alot of research and therapy she is now walking. the only thing wrong with her is that neck is crooked. (and he Jaw is to)

This is our stud goat Reese. Pure bred Nubian
