I love it how everyone thinks Penny's breeding is thier own business.

This is exactly why when I breed my bitch I wont be posting ANYTHING about the breeding, because everyone thinks they know better.

*rolls eyes*

Well I suppose when you post it on a PUBLIC forum then you should expect comments, even if you don't like them. ;)

And as I have said before, Rottweilers are my business, you know, since I rescue them.

J's crew- I seriously doubt that any of Rebekah's pups will end up in rescues. So you have nothing to worry about.

Red- I remember you talking about the possibility of breeding Penny to Shaka. I remember seeing his win at the Westminster, last year, right?

Can't wait to see the pictures of the pups and hear updates on how they all do once their born. : )

And I'm sure they won't. It doesn't mean I don't care about the health of my all time favorite breed though......

Crap does happen even with the most careful health testing ! Breeders who care do their upmost , but there can always be an " whoops " pup . I had one once , poor guy had bad back legs .... gave him to a family who had a child on crutches . The boy didn't want to be born that way , and neither did the pup !! A perfect match !! No matter how much how much pre-breeding checking you do , some slip through your hopes and dreams ..... whether dog or human ..... there's a reason for everything !

Congratulations! Have competed against Shaka in group, he's one hot Rottie! Hope all goes well. Lighting that incense and doing a fertility dance right now. Lol.

Red, if you don't mind anwsering this questions I have.....J's Crew said that you are breeding Penny to a dog that has elbow problems too. I see that, but her elbow DJD1 is in the Left one, and Shaka's is in the right.
Wouldn't that still be breeding a dog that has strong points where the other dog doesn't?

Does that make sense?

lizmo, this has been discussed in detail on this website.

I don't plan to discuss it on this thread. I'd appreciate it if you would care to discuss such a topic, you be kind enough to start another thread.

Or do a search. It's been beaten to death.

Please, don't get me wrong, it was an honest question that I have no idea what the answer would be. I think though that it would be good.

If you would like, we can take this to PM.

I see no reason to not answer Lizmo's questions, especially if you're all about honesty, Red. She's just learning and definitely not coming from where J's is coming from, which has been beaten to death on the forum by her doing already.

Red, you've always been good about educating people on the forum, please don't stop because one or two people have a beef against you and your accomplishments.

I agree. Just because someone has a question does not mean they are trying to pick a fight - Lizmo's question seemed completely objective to me.

I've done a search and still have been unable to come up with an answer to my question and Lizmo's. If you don't wish to answer the questions, that's fine, but I was under the impression that you would given the fact that you have been very open about this breeding in your original post.

Well, sometimes I think you beat things to death. That's what you do when you know things are wrong. And btw, honesty doesn't always ensure that the "right thing" is being done. Am I not able to express my opinion?

My point was simply that Redyre has always told of the importance of breeding Penny to a male with a excellent elbow background. Shaka's isn't.

*Yawn*

I dont know what expressing that this is "wrong" is going to do? It may be wrong in one person's eyes, but not others.

Its not like she is going to change her mind because of someone on the internet.

I wish you the best of luck with healthy, sound beautiful babies

Then why does it matter if people on the internet post their opinions and questions?

I don't care what she does at this point, I just want her to answer my HONEST question! I am trying to actually LEARN.

And even if she doesn't want to answer here in public, she can gladly PM me and it will never be brought up again by me!

Everyone is entitled to their opinion until it gets personal and becomes more than "this is my opinion" and more of "you are wrong and I will remind you every time your fingers type a sentence about this or that". Then, it's personal and an online public forum is no place for personal vendettas.

It is obvious that you are vehemently opposed to Red's breeding of her Penny. Fine. But does that mean that you should stalk her and "rain on her parade" every single time she utters the word, "Penny"? No.

We know your stand. Stop the personal bashing before it even starts. If you want to communicate with Rebekah about her breeding program do so via private messages.
