I totally get the "It's not growing fast enough! Cut it ALL OFF!!" I'm trying to let mine grow out too though the fight is getting harder.

Anyways, I like the second picture hair too.

Greenmagick, I just love the bag the makeup came with! How do you like that brand?

I just got back from Ulta with a bag full of Tarte makeup which I've heard really good things about. Got some foundation, eyeliner and tinted primer.

The majority of my makeup has been that brand for a good 5 or 6 years now...I really do like it. There are other mineral makeups I am sure are just as good, I just havent branched out.

I love their sample packs, really helps to be able to test the formulas and colors

Girly stuff! I'm killing time right now. Here's a few things I can contribute.

Bras!

If you're at all endowed, and you've never done this, I highly suggest a bra fitting. I have huge knockers and they've always annoyed the snot out of me. I hated that I not only couldn't buy cute bras in stores, but the ones I did buy barely fit. I had to get the biggest size I could find - DDD - and they fit terribly.

I went for a fitting at a friend's suggestion, and not only found out I'm actually an H cup, but that there are bras I can wear that are CUTE! I shop at brastop.com now, which is UK-based but have a great return policy, and sales mean that I'm not spending $100 a bra like I would locally. If I snag sales I can get bras at $20-ish a pop. I also just ordered a swimsuit from them for the summer. :) So excited to have a swimsuit that actually fits the girls!

Having the right size bra, and knowing where to get ones that make you look and feel good, are such important things that I can't even quantify them. I had an epiphany that day in the bra store.

If you'd rather find out yourself, here's an at-home measuring guide that's really effective. I measured out at the same size they fitted me for, 36 H.

http://www.reddit.com/r/ABraThatFit...fitted_for_a_bra_as_humiliating_as_it/c469bi0

Here's a link to an embarrassing, but poignant photo of why you should get fitted (NSFW but it's just headless me in two different bras. The new one is my everyday bra, it's sort of ugly but SO COMFY.) Does the before look like your bra...? I posted this photo to Reddit, and tons of people had their eyes opened.

But for reference, here's one of my other new H cup bras... a wee bit snug on this one, but super cute. Finally I can have bras that make me look and feel attractive!

More later!

even if your boobs aren't big I HIGHLY suggest going for a bra fitting. I am not very large in the chest though I am not flat chested either. Pretty average. Who would've thought depending on the style of bra i am a 30G or a 32F! Get a proper fititng bra. It will change your life! They are so comfy

and anyone from the greater van area Change in metrotown often has bra sales. I got two high quality bras for 10 bucks each.

I need some hair advice:

I got a massage yesterday morning :D
But, even after I washed my hair (with black soap), it's still super oily :(

I'm not sure if I'm going to need to use a harsher shampoo to wash the oil out? Or will it just come out after another wash? I have to wash my hair again today which annoys me because I usually wash it every 4-5 days, but I can't deal with how oily it is. I'm afraid if I just wash it in black soap, it will still be oily after and then I'll need to rewash it tonight or tomorrow :(

I usually rarely shampoo/use natural baby shampoo in small amounts.. but when I did the coconut oil treatment, I had to add a splash of regular "harsher" shampoo to get through the oil personally.

I used my normal shampoo with a bit of bubbly regular aussie shampoo and then my regular shampoo again and that did the trick.

This is like, one of the coolest things I've ever done lol. Homemade hair gel!

Easy peasy, just boil some flaxseeds...

The finished snot-like product. I need a better strainer for this so I don't end up with so many seeds in it next time

And Target never ceases to amaze me. They have all sorts of these awesome little containers, so I bought a few to use for my gel and my oil concoction and whatever else I decide to make. 97 cents. But this is how much gel I got out of 2 tablespoons of flaxseeds + 1 cup water.

Then I added a little bit of honey to it and I'm quite pleased with how it worked out. :)

So I recently bough a few different Tarte products and can I just say how impressed I am?

I got this little gift set prime, shine & define
tarte-to-go kit
LOVE the poreless primer. Seriously nice. And totally in love with the mascara. Stayed on all day, pretty dramatic and just felt nice.

Also bought their BB tinted treatment 12-hour primer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 sunscreen and it's really really nice. It is enough coverage for me to use alone (using a pee size amount) and seriously doesn't look like I'm wearing anything. Lasted my 8 hour work day too.

Along with that I got their Amazonian clay waterproof liner with double-ended brush and again, really impressed. I bought the brown and it's still pretty dark but a little less harsh. Stays on all day no issue with no smudging and goes on easy. More precise than powder and pencil but easier to use than pure liquid. You can also soften it nicely with a brush.

What I WANT to get is their pure maracuja oil
which apparently costs a ton, but will last you forever and has amazing reviews.

So yeah, never spent that much on makeup ever but so far it's been totally worth it. Really impressed with the quality.

I'm afraid if I just wash it in black soap, it will still be oily after and then I'll need to rewash it tonight or tomorrow :(
OT but how do you like the black soap? I'm planning on ordering some for my hair and to use when I need to wash my face with something other than oil.

Southpaw, that's really really cool! And also, when you get those bottles don't you just want to find everything you can possibly put in them?

With the black soap I just grab a chunk and rub it in my hands til they're full of suds and then put them on my head. I get like 2-3 handfuls of lather (my hair is waist length) so I'm not sure if there is a more efficient method

I was more just curious about how you liked it overall? I've heard good things but was curious about your personal opinion

The little things that make me happy - new local nail polish I got at Earth Day. Hydrangea, Almond, and Manuka by Urban Nectar.

The hydrangea color really isnt as dark as the pic makes it look.

Um I will admit that I pretty much do buy all the things by all the brands. I have so much makeup it's getting way out of hand.

It was like the stupidest thing to get excited over, but I was like I NEED ALL OF THESE. And of course Target furthers the awesomeness by making them cute colors. How am I supposed to resist that.

And this gel is fantabulous. Doesn't leave my hair crunchy or sticky at all (was kind of afraid of what the honey might do!), it's actually soft and shiny and frizz free, my curls are defined and moisturized without looking like I have a bunch of product slathered in my hair. And of course, it's cheaper than the stuff I've been buying at the store!

Also now I feel like I need to buy Tarte makeup lol thanks. I hardly wear makeup, the stuff that I do wear I'm not even close to needing more of, and I like the brand that I use... but gosh darn it I am a product junkie

It's just been a few days, but so far so good w/the OCM for me. My skin hasn't been oily, in fact I have to keep adding more sunflower oil because my starting mixture (about 80/20) was just a bit drying. No major changes for good or ill yet but my skin is really soft, and even as I'm figuring out the blend when it's a bit dry it isn't tight.

+1 to the tarte lip stains! My favourite of all the ones I've tried. Just don't get it on your skin because they are so not kidding on that "stain" part haha.

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lipstain is supposed to be great, I intend to try that too though. I like trying new stuff... especially if it's drugstore because cheap is nice to my bank account haha.

Okay, it's a little scary that you posted this. I have been oogling this primer for weeks.. Let me know in a couple days how you like it. I want a primer/spf/tinted moisturizer for daily use.
