:(
It's on his right side high up on the rib cage just behind the withers and about 2 inches down from his spine. He doesn't seem to be in peril, and appetite is good. It's hard and about the size between a large marble and a golf ball. I've got an animal hospital appt. for him 5:30 Wednesday. I lost Yogi and Eli within a year of each other not long ago. I can't take it if it's not a fatty tumor or something treatable!!!

Thank you, Jess. I'm keeping positive thoughts. My new husband just waves it off and thinks it's natural like HIS dog has lumps. But his dog is 15 years old and HAS those fatty tumors. Which Eli did, too (he was 12 when he died). I'm just a worried Mamma...

I hope you get good news at the vet. My CJ has those fatty tumors also, but I know how much worrying a good mom does.

I will, Buddy ! EliN/John are due to leave town late Thursday and I'll have Hunter and Brizzy here until Sunday . I hope she gets the results by then , so she can leave with a peaceful mind . She knows he'll be in loving arms and we do vet at the same Clinic , which is good. So, I'm looking forward to my 3 ring circus and the Hunter/Ollie bed disputes ! Both EXPECT to sleep with me !! Last time they took turns ...........

Thanks for all your well wishes, guys. My appointment for Hunter is at 5:30 here on Wednesday. Then I'll take him to Grammy's for while we're out of town. I think they'll probably just aspirate it and look under the scope immediately to see if there are any "suspicious" cells. (I've done the drill). But then send it in to the lab for full analyzation. Which I won't get the results until I'm back in town. But this first step is the scariest... to see what the vet thinks and to get the "initial opinion". I'm probably just gun shy after losing Yogi and Eli within a year from each other. I got Hunter 4 months before losing Eli, and now to find this LUMP! I'm just a little gun shy. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers being sent our way. I'll keep you posted :(

Don't expect lab results before late Thursday or Friday ..... I'll be in touch with you and the Clinic.........they know what we've gone through .... too many in too short of time ! All the vets know us both and the past. I know you're a basket case .... and right now , move over ! You know how much all my grands mean to me !! Ollie and I can't wait to have our Hunter here tomorrow night !!! ( Will be nice to see you too...BTW .... (( Hug )).

Amy, it must have come up awfully fast because - having dealt with tumors on a few of my animals before - I know that once we've lost one we are almost pathological in our checking for lumps and odd feeling "things." If it came up that quickly, there's a very good chance it's something from a sting or bite, or even an oil gland that's become impacted. Bimmer had one of those on his side and I just kept a check on it constantly. I knew what it was, but . . . well, you know . . . he's my Bimmer! As soon as it changed a little bit off he went to Dr. Pilkington, who checked it and showed me how to keep it empty until the hard sac sloughed away. You can't even feel where it was now . . . :) Take heart.

Oh! That is so worrying. I do hope it's just a fatty thing or cyst or something. It probably is. But I know you must be nervous. My thoughts are with you. Let us know when you find out.
