I like auto correct in most instances, it isn't goes overboard sometimes & sometimes I don't check what it put before I cook. Submit ... My fault entirely.

@Adrianne I appreciate your not attacking me, but honestly I don't even know what to say as the original purpose of this thread has been lost, I posted my views on the subject & hoped to get others views ... I didn't run, I just don't see beating a dead horse.

To spend so much time telling me how my posts came across, how Bout reading some of yours? Not all of them were bad but some of them were. I will continue to post how I feel in the raw/ unscripted manner I do. If I keep getting attacked then so be it.

How come because somebody has an opinion differing from yours, it's attacking you, but then when you state that your opinion is different, it's not attacking? Double standard?

Please do challenge my posts, I welcome it if it opens a dialogue. I want to see you educate yourself on the subject, I don't like blind judgements, they're dangerous and harmful. It is not beating a dead horse if we're discussing new information such as just what the guidelines are and how this new found information effects your opinions of such treatments or furthermore why you believe educating yourself on a subject is not important when entering into a debate.

No because I did not bring someone's religion, age or level of intelligence into the discussion. Disagree if you will but don't personally attack me... & not only me but what is someone reading this IS an atheist? Wouldn't that be offensive to them?

I was not crying ... I was merely pointing out what I thought was a double standard myself.

I don't care if you do or not ... But I doubt you would be saying these things to be if we were face to face, I hate to say it this way but its easy to say it like that when you are hiding behind a computer.

I on the other hand would say all I have said to anyone fact to face if the discussion "went there".

Actually, how it was brought into the discussion should, if insulting to anyone, be insulting to Christians, because it was implied the only people who have problems with fertility have those beliefs for religious reasons.
It was then brought up that someone believed you were an atheist, therefore the argument of "religious reasons" should not apply.

No one "called you an atheist" as an insult. They said they THOUGHT you were an atheist.

"Wishing they weren't alive" & "preferring natural conception" are two very different things.

I think everyone prefers natural conception. I don't think anyone is just like 'hey, I'm going to get fertility treatments for kicks and giggles! It's kind of... the only option for some people.

This. Atheist here. Just popping back by the thread to say that I was not insulted by the casual mentioning that someone thought you were an atheist.

I am not 'hiding' behind a computer. I probably wouldn't talk to you if I knew you in 'real life' because we are very different people. We would probably not cross paths. Even if we did, I doubt this topic would pop up. I don't usually talk religion, politics, controversial topics with people I barely know.

Not everyone is different when it comes to computer vs. 'real life'. I am the same person, excepting I am a bit more shy.

I don't talk to many mainstream people outside of animal/ race track society I try to venture into "normal" society as little as possible.

Also in reference to my typos excuse any typos after 9pm when I'm fixing to go to bed & am posting sans my glasses, lest I fall asleep while reading I don't want to sleep in them in ruin them, since they are new.

As someone TTC I am petrified of not getting it right naturally. I would hate to have fertility treatments. But let me tell you, I sure am glad they are an option.

Yes I read about it which is why I was concerned (as I didn't see anything on preparing couples for this kind of thing & just how hard/painful it would be) that people were getting into something they thought they knew about but didn't.

You put yourself in a position to make yourself look not only uneducated but also lacking motivation for learning and thus embracing ignorance and the offensiveness that comes with it.

Have your opinions on fertility treatments changed during this debate at all? What would they have to include by way of guidelines for you to get behind them morally? Or do you not agree with medical assistance determining life?

No, they have not ... Morally I just don't feel comfortable with them.

I understand how my stand makes me look ignorant or uneducated, but I will still stand up for what I believe in.

How do you feel about medical treatments in preventing life?

Ill be honest, if you can thoughtfully and rationally explain your reasoning in educated terms with a strong understanding of what it is you're against (which thus far I haven't seen) I will whole heartedly respect your belief. However, if you continue to refuse to educate yourself on this topic then I will continue to challenge your argument in some meager attempt to show you how silly one looks when they say "I don't like it and I don't need to know why". It's mentalities like that that have done nothing but endangered people throughout history, no matter the fame in the name.
