Blood results indicate renal faliure. They should know tomorrow how bad. I do nt know why there is nothing she could have gotten into. Im in tears. What if I never see her again?

Oh Jenn, I am so sorry. I had a Sheltie die of renal failure about two weeks after she was struck by a car. It was trauma related.

Jenn . . . check around and see if there's any sign of antifreeze leakage anywhere :(

I am so sorry. I hope it's a mistake, or that it's somehow not permanently damaging and she can recover. I'll be keeping you all in my thoughts.

Has she been different since she took that little jaunt awhile back? I wonder if she got herself hurt somehow then.

Went and seen her. They think its acute renal faliure. Wich means any were from 0 to 2/3 of her kidneys are dead. They whont know how bad it is for a while. She will have to be on a special diet. Also they think that it may have been due to heat stress. I have to take her in every 2 months for blood and urin tests for the next while to see how she is doing. She will probably be home tomorrow.
