Okay, I do have one suggestion. This may not be available to you, mind you, but in my breed here in the states, there is a book put together by a breed historian that contains the pedigrees of all titled shelties (Ch, Obedience, ROM, etc) I found this through the breed club, so you should call or email them to see if they have something similar?
When I first started out, I bought that book and signed up for the authors additions to it and ran them through a pedigree program I had that would do nifty things for me like follow tail mail line, compute the inbreeding coefficient for a given dog/bitch and also for the get of a proposed mating. I could also enter data by code, so I could note what dogs/bitches were noted for what virtues and that would show up on finished pedigrees as well. Pedigree software is a matter of personal preference, so shop
Oh, and yes, I did do that. I obsessed on that. I had a specific issue I was looking at (linebreeding on "Pow" versus "Peter" -two of the breeds great studs) and having a pedigree that went back 20 generations was necessary.
