Holy CRAP.
NOT what I expected. We went in to his work today to buy something (Aaron works at Fry's Electronics and we were buying a laptop cooling fan). His boss says, "Here," And randomly hands him a paper with new hours on it. EARLY hours. I looked at it and said, "He can't work these hours," just thinking out loud, you know? And his boss said, "And who are you to tell me that?" And I said, I'm his girlfriend, his ride, and his car. Who are YOU to talk to ME like that? You can't even run your department properly!" (Aaron complains about the constant mess and crap that goes on in his dept because of Khalid, who couldn't even hand in the full time request that Aaron put in THREE freaking months ago) and you know what the asshole says? "I don't allow women to talk to me that way, YOU need to teach your girlfriend her place."

WHAT??? Aaron said right there, "She's right, and I'm especially not working these hours for someone like YOU. This is my two weeks notice." And handed back the paper and walked away.

I didn't expect him to stand up for me in front of his boss, cool that he does it to his mom, but his BOSS??? He is freaking INCREDIBLE!! <3

Does Aaron have a twin or something? I have never met a guy that would do that!

Personally I'd be calling HR and making a formalized complaint. Who knows how many comments like this he's made on the job? Document and file complaints....you can help someone else by doing so most times.

WHOA.
I think you need to be calling corporate to complain about a guy telling a customer "I don't allow women to talk to me like that." Even though your boyfriend works there you were still a customer at that moment. Hooooly wow.

edit: Hounded beat me to it! I'm astounded. Just astounded.

Wow. I'd definitely tell corporate... that's just ridiculous. I'm so glad that he stood up for you. Sometimes I wish more men would step up like this... pffft forget him having a twin... is he a triplet? That way Maya and I don't have to fight over his twin. ;)

Holy moly. I agree, what a great man to stand up for you, but he does need to be talking to HR or Corporate or whoever... what his boss did is highly inappropriate!

Agree that he shouldn't have talked to you that way ....but ... IMO you shouldn't stepped in with your comments . That was between Aaron and his boss . Sorry !

I agree with Grammy, even if I think what he did is awesome... Not a good thing to interfere with someone's job... he could have been fired... what if he really needs the money?

Working at Fry's isn't necessarily a career. There are other jobs out there and he gave his two weeks on the spot. I'd choose the one I love over a job like that as well. People make mistakes all the time and we blurt out things that are inappropriate. Would you want to work for a man that treats women like that? I certainly wouldn't. He needs to be reported. Things happen for a reason.

He's already got another job at Cox communications. They called the day before yesterday to let him know he got the job, so there's already one set up. It pays a lot better than where he's at now.
Aaron is going to report him to corporate today.

Oh, no twins or triplets, guys. Sorry. He's got a married older sister, and an engaged (dork) of an older brother who I wouldn't lend a dollar to. lol
