They have a whole wall of dog clothes... some of them are normal items, like collars and harnesses. But they have some lacy little numbers, and leather outfits that say dirty things on them. I thought they'd be perfect for a "real" working girl.

I know a lot of people do it but I never felt comfortable with the thought of putting clothes on a dog unless they served an inclement weather purpose.

I put one of my shirts on Kai once. He looked so disgusted with me, I never had the heart to put any clothes on him again! lol

I do think this thread is a bit... finger pointing actually, I know it's all in good humour (which is why I added to it), but, I am pretty sure OC feels vicitimised enough by now....
Nah she is pretty thick skinned. For a Canadian. Besides she thinks random people on the internet arent worth her consideration.

In some temperatures, leaving dogs outside is abusive and cruel. There is a huge difference between providing the minimum (shelter) for a dog and unnecessarily humanizing them with "luxury goods." Be reasonable.
Certain military bases here have/had all K9s are to remain outside 24/7 in all temperatures.

Hehehe this actually gave me a chuckle because what seemed like someone trying to point a finger at me, turned out to apparently offend others and not me at all.

I happen to know (and own!) dogs that really truly do prefer to live outdoors rather than indoors. My guys are not outside 24/7 nor are they never mentally or physically stimulated. When I am home and awake they are inside the house with me. When I am gone or asleep, they are in the kennel. What fun is it to be cooped up in a house when no one is home with nothing to do all day? My guys can see and hear everything going on around us while they are in the kennel. Around here, it is very highly unlikely for there to be temperature too cold for my two so I dont need to worry about that extreme, however when the temperature is too hot or if it is really storming outside (especially if there is nasty freezing rain) then I bring my guys inside.

I have taken the liberty to change the quote in my siggie not because I felt victimized, or because I was offended but out of respect for the members who were unintentionally offended, but were mature enough to make light of the situation and have some fun with it....erm...a lot of fun with it LOL

Would Tosca enjoy a raccoon coat? Uncle Fred hasn't caught anything yet, but maybe they could both become real dogs this way. Killing two birds (or coons?) with one stone.

You know, I looked this up, and I am under the impression I am supposed to shoot the raccoons. This is a potential negative. Maybe my dogs should go back to being decorations inside or out.
