"Real Dogs Don"t Live Outside In Pens"

I saw the following quote in another member's signature and it was a little bit upsetting.

"REAL DOGS DON"T LIVE OUTSIDE IN PENS
THEY LIVE WITH THEIR LOVED ONES INSIDE"

If a dog lives outside, does that mean that it isn't real? What does that mean? Are "outside dogs" just lawn decorations?

Some dogs choose to live outside, OK? They like it better out there in the kennel.

Yes that means they are lawn decorations.

And I dont know a dog in the world who would choose living outside to sleeping on the bed, or couch, or carpet, etc.

Charlie practically refuses to come inside when it's nice out. I make him come in though.....screws up my whole living room decor when he's not in there.....

I try and make my dog live outside for a few days at a time....

Ruckus loves it outside. here lately he has been outside about 5 hrs a day

Bodhi does actually. She couldn't care less where she sleeps, as long as it is with me.

And I prefer sleeping in bed, so she does too I suppose.

I do think this thread is a bit... finger pointing actually, I know it's all in good humour (which is why I added to it), but, I am pretty sure OC feels vicitimised enough by now....
