All Breed Dog Training

These are some of the things you'll need to keep in mind when training your dog.
I know what you are thinking:
We want you to know there are practical applications for what you learn through obedience class. Having a dog that is controllable when bathed, on walks, trips to the vet, rides in the car, answering the door and greeting visitors is a definite plus.
Approximately 70% of all puppies taken home do not stay in their original homes. Most are surrendered because of "behavior problems". Each year over 5,000,000 (5 million) of these dogs are eventually killed either by disease, accidents, or in shelters. A lot of these problems arise because the owners picked the puppy by appearance instead of choosing a breed that would fit in with their family, space and life.
Now that you have the puppy/dog he or she is your responsibility. Obedience training is an excellent start. Now you will need patience, patience, and more patience. Be realistic in your expectations. You cannot love a puppy too much. But you can become a slave to the puppy and become resentful.
Remember; you're in charge!! Dog obedience training is based on mutual respect between you and your dog. This can only be accomplished through the proper bonding. Your training goal is to have a dog that will obey you just because you wish it. You must always keep your training goal in mind when handling your dog. You can make a dog behave through harsh handling but you will probably have a dog who is afraid rather than compliant. You must use the proper handling techniques for your dog.
If you have paid for this dog training course feel free to email us with any dog related questions. Payment can be made by personal check and should be made out to V. Gene Guevara and mailed to the above address. Be sure to include your email address.
