Yar my little rattie passed away today. Her sister Kes seems to be a bit lost without her.

Yar was 3 years old which is pretty good for a Rattie. She had a loving wonderful home here with us and Kes.

She passed away peacefully curled up in her blankie and her favourite treat, which she didn't eat, but I put it there for her anyways.

RIP our little girl and soar free and happy with your wings

We all love you

Thanks for the kind words everyone.

Gee they might be little but they do grow on you

We are worried about Kes. She is rarely coming out during her daylight hours. She is eating though but only comes out with much coaxing. I believe she is grieving to a certain extent, if ratties do grieve at all :( She is curling up in of of their little tunnels, that they both curled up in together. She seems so sad all by herself. We are spending much more cuddle, and stroke time with her. I hope she will be ok.

Zoom I'm so sorry to hear of your ratties passing too

Hugs and good thoughts. It helps when others know what we are going through, as I know all you lovely people on here would have lost a furkid at some stage.

I hope they are all flying high and happy at the bridge

I'm so sorry for your loss. Most of us know first hand how difficult that is. My thoughts are with you. (Is that a typo? Was she 3 or 13?)

Feel free to talk with us anytime you're feeling especially low. Try to remember all the good times and your pain will ease up in time. So very sorry.

Thanks Doberluv, and yep a typo sorry she was 3. They don't have long lifespans.

Kes seems ok but she is very quiet. She is eating and drinking, but when I watch her sometimes she is just sitting there, like staring into space you know?

The other day she was up her ladder, and had her head just hanging over the top rung of the ladder, just lost in thought. We have a hammock in there for them, and Kes just curls up in it now by herself. But health wise at least she seems fine :)

Thanks for the kind words and thoughts we do appreciate it :)
