One of my black labs has a white star on the front of his chest.I really like it,it gives him character.BUT i've already had a couple comments like he's not a pure bred or it's not desirable to have any white. He is AKC reg.with good papers and it doesn't really bother me what other peaple think,he is a wonderful dog and is very smart.I am not planning on him breeding either.
I guess I really don't understand why it is not a desirable trait.

its simply not a desireable traint, black labs should be solid black according to the standard...
however this doesnt mean hes not pure bred...unfortunatly not all puppies born are show quality...
if your not planning on breeding or showing just enjoy him!
