Zoe my golden retriver of 6 is funny when people come in the house, it doesn't matter if she has known you her whole life or it's the first time. Her tail starts wagging uncontrolable, then she picks up the nearest object to her (remotes, shoes, toys, socks, ect) and whines through it kinda like a yodal. She dies to be pet. Stu my weiner dog hides till he fells it's safe, then comes and hides in my lap, he is about 4 months old so I hope he just hides instead of barking like a wild beast!

Ripley will bark and growl, ask one of us to pick him up and stare at the person while we're talking to them (guess he wants to be on their level). Once he's sized them up, he'll approach them to sniff them and sometimes get some attention.

Unless it's friends that are coming over, Dakota is put away. He doesn't bite, but he barks and growls and frightens some people. They don't know that as soon as they come inside, he'll stop and be polite. :p

Dakota's manners vary depending on the person's entrance. If they ignore him initially and let him sniff them, and give him attention AFTER he's in a calmer state of mind, he's perfectly behaved. For the friends that burst into the house squealing "DAKOOOOOOTAAAA!" (despite my near-constant urging that they PLEASE stop doing that) with their arms outstretched, Dakota is a complete spaz. He jumps, he barks, he runs around like a maniac... It's a pain.

Kona and Lucy

Kona, the lab puppy is hyper and barks quite a bit and Lucy can be too. Sometimes she just follows Kona to see who it is. It is a little intimidating for people to have this hyper lab barking with a big Great Dane right behind her.
