I rescued a dog a couple months ago and I am unsure of her breed. Someone found the mother pregnant in the woods at 7 months. I think she is part Icelandic sheepdog because both the mother (who is kind of small) and the puppies have a curled tail. She has coloring that is similar to German Shepard or Bernese. (White on forehead, stomach, paws, tail, and darker ears). Someone said she has habits similar to her akita so that is also a possibility. She likes playing and walking with other dogs, she tips over her bowl, likes following you, sits and walks sideways, ears go back when she is excited, fast eater, lays with her back paws fully extended on the ground. All thoughts are appreciated!

A picture would help. But honestly, if she was found that way, I'd guess that the odds of her being a breed or part of a breed that isn't common are low. An Icelandic Sheepdog isn't a dog that too many people have. Now that isn't to say it is impossible...just that I'd tend to think of a dog that is more likely to be found in the vicinity. Does anyone know what kind of dogs are around there? Of course, the mother could have been dumped after being transported from someplace else. She might have some Aussie or GSD in her. They're more common I think. Well...it sounds like she's a very nice dog who loves being with you. And that's the most important thing. But if you have a picture, maybe someone will have an idea of what breeds she may have in her.
