We might be getting another dog...

We took Andy to petsmart on Saturday (I take him once a week for socialization) and of course they were having their pet adoptions. Well, hubby, who usually takes no interest in those animals, was immediately attracted to a two year old pit bull. I mean, I couldn't tear him away from her! She has a pretty sad story though She was rescued from a pit bull fighting ring in north GA. She was used as a bait dog and when she was rescued, she couldn't even stand on her own. She was severely starved and was also trying to nurse a litter of five puppies :yikes: Only two of her pups survived. Anyways, her wonderful foster mom has been working with her for over a year. She is the sweetest dog I've ever met! I'm going to contact the foster mom tomorrow....cross your fingers for me! I've never seen hubby take to a dog like that

Supposedly she is great with other dogs, as long as they are friendly. Her foster mom says sometimes she is still afraid of male dogs because of her history. Andy met her though and they seemed to be fine. We would let them meet a few more times before a final decision is made. Andy comes first of course

Thanks guys! The only problem might be with our cat. She is friendly with dogs, but she might be cat aggressive. We are going to talk with the foster mom this week. I hope it works out...that poor girl really needs a good home
