Hola!

I got a new pair of VFF sprints yesterday at REI, I was super excited because they have a more flexible bottom and their tread won't mess up the mat at work. They were also on clearance! However, it seems like the stretchy upper is the wrong size for the shoe. The edge of the upper is super tight and doesn't have enough give for the heel to be upright. I have to exert a good amount of force to pull the heel into an upright position and when I do, it pulls on the material near the toes and curls the shoe somewhat.

Here's a good picture of what my shoes look like off:

See how the heel is nearly bent all the way over? It doesn't ever get to a comfortable perpendicular angle on my foot. It is super tight on my Achilles tendon and suuuuper painful after a while of wear. My TrekSports are SO comfortable, they have a perpendicular heel and don't rub at all. Does anyone else have sprints? I can't wear these without being is a lot of pain but I don't know if I can return them since they were on sale :(

I got some at REI on sale and they were the wrong size and they took them back, so it's worth trying. I never noticed that about Sprints, are they all like that? I was considering getting some for summer, but now Ii may look into the Classics instead.

That was my issue with the Sprints I tried a while back - just couldn't seem to get the straps to adjust so it didn't rub. The regular KSOs I have (thin sole) also seem to have the upper mesh go up higher on my foot than my TrekSports or KomodoSports but it's just hard to get on, not uncomfortable once on.

Since the picture is a stock picture of the model and color I have, I'm wary that they will all be that way :( I might take them back tomorrow and see if they have another pair of 36's that aren't super tight. The sale was in store so hopefully it won't be an issue.

Seal, I tried on a pair of classics too and they were comfy if I didn't cinch in the heel. IF I cinched it in to keep them from falling off (when I went on tip toes they slid off my heels) they rubbed really bad because they have a high and stiff heel piece. They might not bug you but I have a sensitive heel I guess. I'd say try them on and see which suit you, don't take my fails shoes as an issue lol.

You might try the Sprints in the men's size. I had a pair of KSOs in women's 41 and I *thought* they fit until I got a pair of men's size 41 and realized they were just a tiny it too small. Apparently I have high arches, and the upper on the men's is a bit looser than the women's.

I'm the smallest size in women's which doesn't exist in the men's. Good idea though!

I ended up returning them and getting a pair of the teal/grey KSOs. I LOVE THEM. Super comfy even though they're a bit of a pain to get on. The upper does cover more of the foot which is fine but it isn't as easy to get my foot into as the TrekSports. Regardless, they are super comfy and don't rub anywhere. <3
