So I dropped my baby off at the vets Friday morning around 8:45. They said they would call my at about 12 o clock to let me know how it had gone.
Well at 10:30 I get a call from them. I am freaking out, thinking something has gone wrong. Nope they were just calling to let me know that everything went perfect. Stryder was also getting what we thought was a baby tooth pulled, they told me that it was actually a molar that grew in sideways so they pulled it. He also got his teeth cleaned.
They said I could pick him up at 4-5:30.
As soon as I was done work I went to pick him up. I walked into the vets and I was like, oh sounds like stryder. I could hear him whining from the back room. then I heard it again and realized he wasn't in the back room they had him in the desk area with them. He must have been screaming like a dummy and they couldn't stand him anymore. Though we raised him to crate training we have never been able to shut him up in one (he's a very stubborn boy about that) but it was nice that he wasn't shut in a kennel.
They said that his teeth are quite worn from chewing something and if he keeps doing it he might break his teeth. But he doesn't chew on hardly anything and has nothing hard to chew on. I know tennis balls are bad for their teeth and tho they have a couple tennis toys they don't chew on them but I guess I will have to throw those out.
He has been fairly good about not licking but I do catch him now and then(and stop him of course). During the day he is fine (he is never left alone), the only time I worry is at night when I am sleeping. I do wake up from him licking and can stop him but I don't know if he does it more than that I just don't wake up from it.
But so far I think it is still looking quite good. They did leave all the skin that held the... balls.... in place which I thought was kinda weird since it's a good amount of loose skin now but I guess it makes the incision much smaller just leaving that.
