Two New Babies Will Be Here Tomarow

Baby ratties that is . I was going to wait until the fall to get a pair from a local breeder. I knew I definately wanted babies to start with. Well a friend of mine called me today and said her friend who is a well known breeder had a litter available.

I will be getting two females tomarow. One is a rex and the other a dumbo. I can't wait! I havent had rats since I was a kid. But those were petstore males who were cage aggressive. Back then my dad wouldn't allow us to take the dogs to the vet let alone the rats, so they never got the chance to be neutered.

So I am excited to get female pups to raise and bond to. They are all handled daily and really really well taken care of. Great temperments.

Ratties are awesome! I have to live vicariously through you guys who own rats though since it's illegal to own them here.

That means i expect LOADS of pictures!

I am totally shocked that my mom is letting me have them in her home lol. She has three pets that she usually says absolutely never will I have them in her house. Reptiles, Ferrets (big bummer), and Rats. But because these girls airn't black or agouti (aka any coloring that reminds her of a wild rat lol) she is much more open to them being here.

But I pretty much promised that she doesent have to see them lol.

Oh and I promise tons of pics. Baby rat cuteness has to be obsessively documented .
