I met this woman today with her new "Silver Beagle" Puppy.
She told me that someone told her that in Alaska, they use beagles when they go out in the woods, because beagles are the only dog that is stubborn enough to attack and try to take down a bear. As the dog is getting eaten by the bear, the person has a chance to escape.
Anyone heard such a myth? I think it's crazy; Why wouldn't they take a bear-dog or *chuckle* Pit bull, or something that maybe WOULDN'T get eaten in a split second?
