We went out for dinner tonight and before we left I put Tika in her crate. The other four were left loose.

When we got home I heard Fudge and Tika barking but because Tika was crated I thought it was Taz. It was pitch black when we got back so it took till we got in for me to realise that Tika was loose.

She's NEVER supposed to be loose when we're not there and especially not with Scamp!!! If something exciting happens like another dog walking past they tend to redirect on each other and that wouldn't end well for Scamp.
Luckily though that didn't happen because I would never forgive myself if something happened to Scamp.

I KNOW I put her in that crate. I remember watching her going in and locking the door. The door was even locked when we got home!! The side door wasn't locked at the bottom though just at the top but no one believes she could squeeze throught that.

Oh and of course we think Tika might be coming into heat! She couldn't have picked a better time to escape!!

You were right. She CAN teleport. Soon she will develop her power of telekinesis, and then you'll be wondering where all the treats went.

Yep, teleporting sounds about right.

Is it a plastic or wire crate? I've come home to a wire crate rolled half-way across the room, with a naughty poodle sticking out half-way from the bottom part of the crate.

I'm glad everyone is okay! Double check all the latches next time and pray she doesn't figure out how to open them. :rofl1:

It was a wire crate. I've never had a problem with dogs escaping from it before ans every dog that's been in the house has been crated in it at one point in time.

MPP- I always thoght that was the kittens stealing the treats ... :yikes:

U&M- apparently she HAS learnt to open the latches because when I got up at 2am this morning she was crated and when I got up at 6 she was loose again with the door wide open!!!! I asked my dad if he let her out and apparently he didn't :yikes: so now I need to get clips for the door lol
