**** it! I just got offered a great job with the vet ... The only problem is that it's in Houston and I can't go :( I promise my parents I would help them while oh is gone.

Boo, I really want to go but whatever I do I feel like I let someone down :(

So my ex-friend, asked if we could be friends again. I really don't want to be friends with her. For many reason. One, all it is toxic codependent relationship. I'm pretty sure she's a Narcissists. Two, I've forgiven her so many times, & it's never ending cycle. We make up, then we fight, she lies about fighting, sometimes she doesn't know she's lying, & makes feel horrible. She's extremely manipulative.

I just can't get out of relationship. I don't want to be friends with her, but,at the same time, I kind of want to.

Now, she keeps texting me if "we're still friends" nonstop. I just need to tell her we shouldn't be friends. But how? I've never told anyone that we shouldn't be friends before. She won't leave me alone:wall:

"I don't feel like being in a relationship with you is what I need at this moment."

Or just, "No," would suffice.

Yep.

You could do what I did recently and loudly and publicly tell her "I'm unfriending you" while you show her you're deleting her phone number from your cellphone. Then say "bye-bee" and leave. Done. But it's best to just escort somebody from your life BEFORE you're pushed into being a rude bitch in public. So just "no" is really a good way to go.

Life is really too **** short for toxic people to be a part of it.

Just say no! I had to end my friendship with my sister for very similar reasons. We barely talked for a year and now (three years later) we talk but I set VERY careful boundaries and I say no. A lot. I give no ****s if it hurts her feelings, I have feelings too and sometimes you have to take care of yourself first.

There is no reason to stay in a toxic relationship - or to let yourself be drawn back into one - and every reason to stay out.

So annoyed. I've had a doctor's appt for weeks. Originally, the lad was supposed to take off work to watch the kiddo. Then he said he couldnt because it was AIMS testing day,so we'd planned to send him to daycare while I was at the appt. Then, the lad volunteered for a chaperone trip. Thus, if one can leave work for that I presume you could indeed have taken the afternoon off (my appt was at the very end of the school day) AND my daycare now won't take kids on their normally scheduled days off. So, I now have to reschedule my appointment.

So, so annoyed. I was trying to get in to the doctor so that I can have things done before my job switches to insurance that likely won't cover anything.

Well he's horrible at sitting still (even with videos on the phone, etc) and it's a girly appt, so I can only imagine the horrors that could go wrong with a kiddo running amok there.:yikes:
ETA: I have taken him with me for drs appts for bronchitis, etc

Learning about pig farming. I want to go back to only buying/eating meat from reputable sources.

I know I can't be a vegetarian, but I should really be eating less meat. And thinking more about where it comes from.

I so wish I lived in an area that was possible SL, I grew up in farm country, we always had farm fresh beef, chicken and pork available to us, and now I am so any hours away it makes me sad, we don't even have real butchers up here :(, it's too expensive to ship full carcasses so the get parts and just cut it different, but you still don't know where it's from.

I think I did my taxes wrong. Normally I owe state around $70 and get $150 or so back from federal. I changed jobs this year, but don't make a lot more money. So how do I owe state $150 and owe federal $350?

Crap. There's no way there was $400 woth of difference in my return in one year

Did your new job take out a smaller percentage of taxes?

If you're in doubt, you should have somebody do them for you. Because of my small business(es) I have a tax guy. It's like $30 every year which isn't a whole lot to KNOW it's done right.

It's possible when you changed jobs, there was some kind of a mistake on your withholdings. But IMO it's worth double-checking.

The doc axles me about that job again ... ARGH! :wall: I told him that I would see what my folks wanted to do (they aren't sure when they are going to go for their trip) darn it I really want to do this but it doesn't look like it's going to work out :(. I don't mean to sound conceded, but my work skills and ethic are kind of well known around here so a lot of people would want me to work for them and having a good job wouldn't be a problem and I could also go with my horse ... Who goes without me when I can't go :(

That was my first thought too, but I specifically asked them to take out the maximum when they started, and confirmed that they had done so when the numbers came up funny. I'm taking them to someone else next week.

I really didny have that extra money budgeted, but it is what it is

Huck woke up this morning and refused her breakfast and was sticking close to the wall or under the table, huddled in a little ball of pain. So I took her to the vet ASAP and they have her. I haven't heard anything yet as to what the issue might be, though I'm thinking it's something in her GI tract, either constipation or a small blockage caused by her fascination with cotton balls.
