The Doodle thing is getting out of hand

OK, I have adjusted to labradoodles. I can even say, "what a cute Golden Doodle" with a straight face even though it sounds like a nursery term for some bodily function.

But yesterday I met a woman with a VERY large and hairy 5 month old puppy. It was a St. Bernadoodle (spelling?) she ordered online. Not kidding. Where are we going with this thing?

A 100+ lb. animal with the energy of a sporting dog? :yikes: What were they thinking!?!?

A girl at work came in today and said she was getting a pure bred golden doodle.

I'm not even kidding.

But then she went on to say that b/c it was a mutt (yeah, she contradicted herself) that it wouldn't shed as much and that it would be super smart.

I don't like this girl anyway, but now I have a reason! Well, actually I've had reasons not to like her- she's ridiculously rude. The kind of person that hovers over the coffee machine in the morning, and then gives you a dirty look when you try to pour youself a cup b/c you're interrupting her conversation...

I didn't say anything. I just smiled and thought, "Well, that's right up your alley, isn't it?"

Poor dog.

we have a bernese x poodle at work. the owners are idiots (shocker, right?) but the dog is a reasonably nice dog. he's pretty mellow for being a young dog, actually.

If they are " whoops " litters ~ so be it . If planned and labeled shame on everyone . I was really in favor of the Australian Labradoodles in 4th generations , but this is ridicules ! Ollie was listed as golden/poodle . I would love to know his other half , but to me he's 1/2 golden only !

My neighbor's labradoodle is over 100 pounds. He's a monster muppet looking creature with lots of energy. He drags my neighbor around like he weighs nothing and this guy is bigger than I am.

It's funny you posted that, I met a Berner/Poodle today, 5 months old, and quite big already... I will say he was CUTE as sin and a very nice dog... He already had quite a bit of basics down and the owners seem very good. However I had not heard of the cross before.

The Goldendoodle used to be the thing here. Now, it's all about the Aussiedoodle. Quite possibly the cutest pups I've ever seen, but maniacs!

I am waiting for the Pitadoodle (or DoodleBull) or something like that ...
