And for those who have asked my avatar is the "Star of Life" symbol. I have it on my NREMT patch and I hope to have it tattooed on my arm one day. Its the sign of EMS nationwide. when you see an ambulance, look for the star of life emblem on it. the squiggly thing in the middle of it is a cauducus - which is the correct term for snake and staff - which is the universal medical symbol. Only the military should use the caudecus with wings, as the wings symbolises the American Eagle which is the national bird.
