It is very cool to watch especially when Bailey and Chloe work as a team on the other dogs at doggie daycare. :lol-sign: They are the only herders there and it is just natural, Lord knows I didn't teach them that. :) And Chloe's only 5 1/2 months old and she's been doing what she does since she could walk and so has Bailey but their littermates haven't as much. It was REALLY funny when she was 3 months old and weighed 15 lbs and Bailey weighs 77 lbs. LOL

I dunno, sounds like Lyric and Bailey could wear each other out. Bailey can be rough and tumble but Chloe looks like she plans a strategy and then puts it into motion quickly. hehehehehe

Just to let you know I bought a Chilli Bone at the pet store. You wet it with water and freeze it. You can give it to your pup to chew on to help with teething. It's definitely helped at my house.

Just read your story and had to giggle/ shudder as my 4 month old Rotti/Shepherd/Collie puppy has finally kicked that habbit but oh man I can totally relate. When he was 2 months till 3 and a half months old he would constantly stalk me, pounce, bite down hard into my leg and not let go ( and i mean not at all i could lift my leg off the ground with him attached). I did everything above that was mentioned and like you found that yelping, saying no only further incited him so i used more of the crate time out to calm down method along with the distraction method and over time as he did it less and less started adding in a firm, no.

Just wanted to add in some support as I know it can deffiently be scary when you first encounter it. Also Duke is my first dog so i was worried it might of been a dominance aggression thing however we've been doing everything to show him were top dogs ( making him sit stay before letting him eat and sticking hands into food while he eats and so on). So I know it was similar to what everyone here was describing. He's now much more calm and after completeing his puppy obidence course I use sit or down when he becomes to rough during play, but he is still just a puppy so i expect it to some extent.

Anyhow just keep correcting it when it occurs and eventually he should grow out of it:)

Take care
Kayla

Just a suggestion. Keep a leash on her and anytime she starts getting wild grab the leash and hook it over a doorknob, then walk away and leave her there untill she's calm.

She won't be able to follow you and it's a good way to give a 'time out' without using the crate.
