Just hoping we're not losing power. But we shouldn't. We only did during Sandy... 'Only' expecting 10 to 18 inches here.

We're supposed to get the most amount of snowfall here. I'm really hoping we don't loose power... But I'd honestly be really surprised if we didn't.

My quadriplegic cousin lives next door to me. I put all my winter hiking gear near the door so I can go out and check on him throughout the storm. If we do loose power I'm going to have to figure out how to get him into my house. So again, really hoping we don't loose power.

But other than that... I brought in extra wood, the shovels are in the mud room, and I have extra food and water so I don't have to leave my house for a few days.

we have plenty of wood for if the power goes out. My camera batteries are charged for plenty of Hudson pictures. Most importantly, there is lots of wine.

It is going to totally miss us. Somehow that seems to be happening with all the storms lately. Nice in general, but I was kind of hoping to get a day off work out of the deal!

I'm pretty excited, 18-24 inches expected here. I was bummed that we hadn't gotten any snow, I guess it's all coming at once! What I AM worried about is going to work. I still have to work even though we have a travel ban and I'm very concerned I'm going to get pulled over. I'm thinking that dog kennel workers are not considered "essential personnel".

Does your work not have any plan in those situations? Like, feed the dogs extra food so they don't need you for a couple days, or have someone just sleep over for a couple days so nobody has to travel? I mean, it's just dangerous... and downright irresponsible IMO to make people travel through that weather.

Agreed, I'd prefer to sleepover rather than risk driving in it. Bring your own dogs in too if there's no one to watch them!

We have food and fuel. Snow blower is in the garage and ready to go. Just going to hunker in and enjoy it.

I wish I still lived in New England... and I kindof wish we had that much snow - there would be panic, insanity and I'm pretty sure everyone would be cut off from the world for like 2 weeks because Germans panic when theres like 2 inches of snow :p

I'll admit I'm a little depressed that everywhere around me is getting snow, yet somehow I'm just a little too far NORTH to get the storm lol.
Josh who lives about an hour and a half South West of me got well over a foot and a half.
Seems like it doesn't cut North until well into Eastern NY.
Boo.

Hope you're all staying safe!

In typical "err mah gerd, Snow!" hype, we got bubkes here. I know people farther east got nailed, but the way all of the local news was going on you'd think I'd be digging out until June.

All local snow emergencies have been lifted and the roads are clear. I hope everyone that really did get nailed is safe and warm. I've got a gassed up snow blower if you need help. At top speed, it goes about 2 MPH, so give me some lead time to get there :)

We got a ton of snow, but we were predicted to get the most. The road I live on is about 3ft the whole way and private... And all we have are shovels... I may be digging out until June. LOL.

Well I wish I could say that the roads are clear, lol. Still enough snow to be annoying, but at least it's not heavy snow like last Saturday.

My dog doesn't seem to mind though.

This happens every year. Why aren't we just used to it by now lol. I remember when places in new York got so much snow that they could walk out of their top floor windows and walk onto their roof. Now THAT would be snowmagedon lol
