Roxy and The heater

Well for the past 2 weeks it has been getting colder so Ive started turning the heaters on in the morning full blast. About 5 minutes after they have warmed up Roxy runs over to the main one and sticks her face on it and starts to whine and bark at it. It was funny at first and now I have no doubt that if there was a fire she'd know the difference. But its a pain the @$$ to tell her its okay about 20 times before she goes back and lays down...but keeps her eye on the heater just in case I guess. Does anyone elses dog do this or is mine officially crazy? Oh and my mom has a woodstove Roxy loves to sit beside but she doesnt whine and growl at it.

It might be giving of a high pitched noise when its heating up causing her to bark at it
you need to distract her then once she is looking at you and not the heater, praise her and give her a treat, she will probably get used to it soon though the more you have it on

Wendy has never done this... partlky because we have small heaters all pver the ground lol
