Hiya everyone :)

My hubby and I are selling our old car. Some lovely people came to look at it today and they have a lovely Rotti boy. I was talking to the woman, and we got to talking about dogs as well as cars LOL. Anyway her baby wears his muzzle whenever he is out, as he has many issues, the lady was saying.

I could only really say hi to him from a distance, as per her wishes, due to his problems. She said he suffers dreadfully from seperation anxiety as well. Anyways I am rambling, what was my question was, is the lady said he was about 75 kilo's. He did look a bit chunky to me, and I wondered is this a normal weight for Rotti's? I didn't think so, but I really have no experience with them. My Max is 60kilos, but he is quiet lean and much taller.

Suffice to say he was a lovely boy, beautiful face, just couldn't pat him unfortunately. So yeah I was just wondering about the weight thats all

Thanks guys :)

I am no Rotti expert but I have seen some big ones that could easily top the scales at 80 kgs. I am not sure if that is breed standard though.

Thanks Ashlea :) Well the good news is, they bought the car lol and stayed for ages and had a coffee. The lady does pet massage and therapy, so Sugar and Max thought they'd died and gone to heaven lol Max with his arthritis and all..

The breed standard for a rotti male is up to 110lbs or around 50kgs. Many of the huge rotties you see will have a larger mastiff breed somewhere in their breeding.
Also, what breed is Max??
