I am looking and I know some of you said the petsmart ones dont last long.
What kind of leather works best. I found a rolled leather collar that is made out of buffalo leather.
I want it to last and be beautiful
Thanks

If you google rolled oiled bridle leather collars you should find a good site . Wish I knew where I got mine .... was Bubba's , and after a good saddle soaping practically looks new . I think I paid around $13 ....worth the extra few bucks . Think I got it from Germany or England .

Gunnar has had a petsmart rolled collar for a long time, but it's not really used under stress of a leash. It's left on him to have something to grab when he needs to be held back from something. I think my next purchase of a good leather item will be a harness with a handle on it.

I have one made by a company called "Circle T" and it's a lot better quality than most of the ones I've seen. "Hamilton" also makes really nice ones. Someone on another board I frequent has had one on her dog for a few years now, and just going by pictures, it still looks new. There are probably better out there, but both of the companies mentioned above make very nice quality leather. I've had a "Circle T" leash for about 8 years now and it's wonderful, so I don't see how a collar would be any different.
