Ok... so i kinda got the feeling yesterday that you guys were upsett by the fact that I allowed Kyle to post a message via remote desktop...

but...

there are very usefull purposes for it...
Kyle has it becuase he owns a computer repair business and this will help him not have to go on soo many business calls to change settings and stuff... he can do it without having to inconvenience people with being in their home... they wont have to arrange times for him to come over...

but... we did something tonight via remote desktop that was really neat...
I taught him how to make animations in Photoshop.
He jumped on my computer with the Remote Desktop and I went through the steps of making animations.
He was able to record our session so he can go back and watch it like a video.

it was really fun :)

Yeah, Remote Desktop has a ton of very good uses, I don't see why anyone would be upset with it, its not like he has 100% control over your computer, you can kick him off at any time you want. I have tought a few people in town how to open Remote Desktop and give me the password and such, then i go in while I am on the phone with them and show them directly how to use a program, or I go in and clean out their entire system to keep their internet going fast.

Keep in mind these are people that are 70+ and really don't understand alot of stuff or have much money, I sold them computers at a very cheap price and once a month I do upkeep on it from here at home, or sooner if they call me.

My husband has remote access to my computer as well. Don't know what happened yesterday, but I wouldn't be okay with anyone doing anything under my name without my permission/being present, just my 0.02. :)

I'm just saying what *I* wouldn't allow to happen, it doesn't have anything to do with what happened with you as I don't even know! :)

Kevin has used remote desktop for years.
My mother lives an hour away and it makes things a lot more convenient to repair. If you remember Tosca (TM) Kevin helped her in NY with remote desktop as well. We had a blast because while he was working from his laptop to her comp, she and I were IMing from my comp and goofing off and I could see her screen as she was typing the next message.........too fun! LOL

I use remote desktop mostly to control my own computer. I find it very nice to control my home computers from school or wherever I happen to be.

And no, I wasn't upset by your thread yesterday. I thought it was kinda odd that he actually made a thread here, but oh well :) I've certainly made threads people thought were odd too ;)
