My 3 1/2 month old puppy Shadow has a lot of red bumps under her front legs. They look like fly bites to me, but they are mostly all concentrated in these areas. She tends to scratch at them quite a bit, which has caused a few to become infected. I am washing them out very good daily. I was wondering if there are any serious conditions that I should know about that could also cause this. She has been dewormed and is free from fleas, but are there other things that it could be? Also, if they are just fly bites, would it be alright to apply a little regular strenght polysporin to the infected areas when she is sleeping (so she won't lick it all off)??
