My little Libby Lou is really starting to nest. I gave her a treat today and she took it over to a blanket that was on the floor , then she started pawing at the blanket. She put the treat down on it and nosed the sides over the treat. Later she went back and ate it, then continued to paw the blanket some more.I've never seen this done with a treat before!

I wanted to see if anyone wanted to share any funny or unusual things their dogs did during pregnancy.:D

Dixie had a stuffed orange bone in her mouth almost the entire time she went into labor. She'd drop it, lick it, pick it up, hold it, drop it, lick it, on and on. Until the first pup came(For about 5 hours!) then she'd lick it to death!!!
She also had an old towel in her box. It had strings on the ends, and she worked on them between panting.

Awwww, good luck with the whelping! So excited, let us know. How sweet!

Thanks! She's had lots of pictures taken, but still doesn't quiet understand the camera! She's came over to get a closer look when I took the picture.Lawson on the other hand seems to pose alot for his pictures. I don't think I even have a picture of him with his ears relaxed.:D

Yes this her first litter. Lawson was bred with a friend's dog that I met at a show. She is my mentor now. I got to help her with the whelping of that litter. Her dog has had litters before so she knew what to espect, but I'm getting a little nervous for Libby since this is her first. She's seen the vet alot before and during pregnancy and I was reasurred everything will be fine. I just can't help but worry for her, she's my baby!!:) Luckily I have a good friend with experience to help, and the great people on this forum!:D
