Question for Breeders here

Ok. First of all, I'm doing my emailing off the charts to email few breeders that are "reputable." I went to a Mini Schnauzer & a Australian Shepherd America Club site. Most did not have a website of their own, so I send them a personal email stating "Hi, do you have a website" I get a reply back "yes I do" then they tell me if I have any questions let them know.

I emailed them back and said "Do you do any health testing" "Do you have any champion, CGC, TDI titles" after that I don't hear from them period.

What does this mean?

In my mind it means they don't have any proven stock and have nothing to show for their dogs, they would be proud to send you the info...it should be listed on their site in the first place. Sounds like byb to me, just because they have a site doesn't make them reputable breeders.

Did you give them enough time to respond?

It could just be their sick, busy, showing, trialing, or anything.

It took most of the toller breeders I contacted at least 2 days to get back to me. The longest it ever took somebody was about a week, and a couple got back within a day. I tried to be really personable in my e-mails, too. I'd tell them a bit about myself and why I was contacting them, I'd ask if they'd mind telling me a bit about their breeding program, dogs, etc., whether they showed or worked their dogs, if they were health tested, etc.

Well, they either don't want to reply because they can't answer your questions or they can't because they're busy.I would have thought it would've been on thier website, but I'd give them a few more days to reply.
