I am so proud of Marley!
In the week she's been home I've spent around 30 minutes a day working with her and making her listen to me, and trying to get her prepared for puppy kindergarten (she starts while I am away, so my mom is going to take her for me)
I am so proud of her, she can already sit on commant (I reward with puppy biscuits), she plays fetch VERY well, and walks politely enough for a puppy on a leash (she only really pulls when there are people, and then I make her sit before they are allowed to touch her, and likewise). OH! And she is almost housebroken. She goes to the backdoor, and sits patiently. Sometimes we don't see her go there, and she has an accident, but its always our fault. I try to keep as best an eye on her as I can. OOOOOH! She kisses too when you make the smacking sound with your lips, she kisses you and is very gentle.
She's still nippy, but I am replacing my fingers with toys, and chewy things. She also is trying to go upstairs, she can get up, but then sits at the landing and howls until someone comes to carry her down. Should I make her try and go down the stairs herself, as a "punishment" seeing as she got up there all by herself? Or is it too early for that?
She got her first bath today, didn't like it once bit. The purple pool outside is full of her toys, and lures to get her into it. I hope she comes to like bathing. She barked at the hairbrush until I put it away. LOL
My heart swells up whenever she listens and behaves. Especially when she comes when called, and sits. Because I taught her that. I did!
