I need to teach Bella how to do this. I have a command to it (I simply say toilet) but it ONLY works off leash. She just will NOT go on leash.
I think part of the problem is that when we started dog school and walking around at parks etc, I made a point of teaching her NOT to go while she was on a walk because I just didn't want to clean up poop all over the place. I still would appreciate her not going all over the place, but I really need to teach her how to go while she is on leash.
The reason for this is EVENTUALLY I am going to be moving out from my parents home. Bella WILL be coming with me. I am probably going to be living in an apartment, maybe ground floor, maybe not. It depends on my pocket at the time. What this means is, if I end up in a place without a balcony or outside area, Bella will have to learn to go on leash, and I would like to start teaching it now.
I am at a later stage probably going to teach her how to go in a litter box or fake grass area or maybe even a real potted grass area, but for now I need advice on how to train her to go on leash.
