I decided to teach Grimm to ring a bell when he wants to go out. I decided to go with a call bell rather than a bell on a ribbon tied to the doorknob, simply as I figured if I had a dangly bell, a certain cat would spend the day ringing it to amuse himself.
Having never taught any of the others to use one, I wasn't sure of the proper way to go about it. Thus, I decided to teach him to ring the bell first, and then I'll teach him to associate it with going out. He has puppy brain, so he's caught on to ringing it sometimes, just not consistently. Only the first day though.
Anyone have any other tips on the bell ringing, or a different way to go about it?
