Pop up for University of Phoenix

Hmm, I haven't had the "pleasure" of getting that pop up on here.

But I did keep getting a pop up on another forum, it was for downloading spyware or something. It kept saying my computer was infected, and wanting me to download something to fix it. I always just closed the window never gave a prompt to download anything.
Well the dang thing was so persistant it downloaded a virus for me.
It was called Vundo.
And my McAffe found it, but couldn't/would'nt fix it. So I had to download a fix. Thank goodness it worked and is now gone. But it caused a big headache for me.
Shortly thereafter that forum sent an email to everyone saying they had a hacker and changed their free hosting to a paid one, and should have no more problems. But I am still afraid to visit it again.

I'm using IE and I've never gotten it.

Since it's not browser specific ya'll might wanna check for spyware/adware.

This is funny because lately when I open up the forum I'll hear a 'badoink' sound that happens when a popup has been blocked on my computer. I thought it was strange too. I use McAfee.

I have been getting a pop up with chaz too. U of Phoenix/Tribal Fusion...I keep running anti-spyware, but it shows I'm not infected.

I don't get it with Safari but I do with IE. Both on Macs (one new one old)
